Canaan Lions MX
Notice to all that camp overnight at the Canaan Lions MX. There are other people living on the other side of the fence line. We have set these rules for there welfare as well as yours. When we say no generators after 10 pm, that means turn them off at 10: When we say dogs must be on a lease at all times, it means all times.(And pick-up after them) When you let your kids run wild and push the barrels over the bank into the fence, or let them leave popcorn or chips all over the tower steps, your not doing your job as a parent. I had all these complaints this weekend, and also the Fish And Game, (who own the property) are getting complaints also. We all have to do better if you want to be able to keep this privilege. If you see anyone breaking these rules, please point out to them that they are hurting everyone. I hate to be a babysitter, but if it comes down to it, we will be making spot checks, and I hope not telling people to leave. Tim
We have the final go. Racing starts June 21 and will go back to Saturday practice, and Sunday racing. We need flaggers; any parent who helps us out will get 2 free races. That's a $65 savings for the day. If you want to help, see Tim before registration.
Everything is in place, the EMS is all set, registration covered, and the track should be all done. I am in need of flaggers, so if a mom or dad would like to help, junior's race will be free for the day. If you can help, email me at Thanks and hope to see you all there.
We need your help
Canaan Lions MX is in need of track help. As many of you know, the track is run by the Canaan Lions Club. The Lions, is the largest service organization, in the world. This is an all-volunteer group, and all proceeds raised, go toward causes such as eyesight and hearing testing, diabetes research, eliminating hunger, and helping with medical needs in our community and around the world.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, Canaan Lions MX will be following all Federal, State, and Local Laws and Regulations. Please check the Website, Facebook, and Instagram for updates.
Some of our members, are now considered High Risk and will not be able to return to the track. In order for this to be a successful race season, we need flaggers, gate attendants, and help with registration. We are not looking for a season commitment (that would be great), but we are trying to get a list of people to fill in, as needed. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated and together we can keep Canaan Lions MX a fun, family-friendly place to ride and race. If you would like to help, please scroll to the bottom of the page, and fill out the form and press submit.

Rider Advancement Points will accumulate through the first four weeks of racing. 75 points will advance a rider from novice to amateur, or amateur to expert. Lap times may also be used at any time, to advance a rider to a higher class. 1/2 of the accumulated points will be carried over to the
class they are advanced too. End of season points will be used to bump a rider to a higher class.150 points, or higher will advance a rider to the next class, for the following season.
It is the riders responsibility to pick the level of competition he/she can be competitive in. If you were one of the top beginner or amateur riders in 2019, you will be bumped to the next level of competition at the discretion of the motocross committee. It will be in your best interest to begin competing in the class best suited to your ability, since only half your Championship Points will be carried forward when your Advancement Points move you into the next class. Also, if you race in two classes, you will be bumped up in both classes.
Note: You also may be bumped if your lap times are equal to or better than the higher classes.
